Governing Board
Duties:
1. To fulfill the directives of the congregational business meetings.
2. To conduct the general business and operation of the Church apart from those aspects which are specified for the congregational business meetings.
3. To make disposition of concerns brought by any group or member.
4. To bring recommendations to a congregational business meeting when a major issue or policy is involved.
5. To provide for an annual audit of the Church's finances.
6. To develop and approve the annual church budget for recommendation to the congregational business meeting.
7. To decide matters submitted by any of the six Standing Committees when these groups are unable to obtain consensus or when specific board action is requested.
8. To appoint task groups to study, recommend action, and carry out projects for the general welfare of the Church.
9. To develop and implement long range goals and objectives on behalf of the congregation and to evaluate and revise them according to need.
