Nominating
Duties:
The duty of the Nominating Committee shall be to present to the congregation a slate of nominees for the various committees of the church and church officers at the Annual Congregational Business Meeting, Part I. Other names may be received from the floor provided there is prior consent from such individuals that they are willing to have their names given in nomination. The slate of nominees to be presented by the Nominating Committee shall be published two weeks prior to the business meeting.
The committee shall also be responsible for filling vacancies which may occur on the various committees of the church and among church officers throughout the year. Such nominees are to be approved by the Governing Board and shall serve only for the remainder of the calendar year. At the Annual Congregational Business Meeting, Part I, all vacancies shall be filled regularly through the usual nomination-election process.
