It is never easy to visit a new church for the first time, so we want to be as helpful as we can to make your experience a good one.

What time does worship start?
  • Worship begins at 10:15 AM. Come early and enjoy coffee fellowship and refreshments. These are served beginning about 9:30 AM)
What should I know when visiting?
  • We have a casual atmosphere.
  • Our service lasts for about an hour...some Sundays a little longer, some Sundays a little shorter.
  • You'll hear thought-provoking messages based on the Bible.
Is the church wheelchair-friendly?
  • Yes
What kind of music is there?
  • Our music is live. We have a blend of music with old familiar hymns and current praise and worship songs.  Most Sundays we have music played on the piano and organ, we have had in the past folks who have played guitar and other instruments. Everyone worships in their own unique way-- for some that means singing, clapping and for other's it's listening to the words. You're welcome to do what comes from the heart to praise God.
What to wear?
  • We want you to feel comfortable. We are thrilled you're joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you're wearing. Some dress up and some dress more casual.
Who can participate in communion?
  • Anyone who trust Jesus as their Savior and believes in Him is welcome to participate.  The juice and bread that we share represent the life He gave up so that our sins could be forgiven.
When are people baptized?
  • Baptism is performed for individuals who decide that they want to walk with Jesus.  There is not a specific time or educational requirement.
What if I don’t know the Bible?
  • You don’t have to know the Bible, own a Bible, or have read the Bible.  We study the Bible to understand and apply God's message, learning and growing together from our different backgrounds.
What if I can’t come every Sunday?
  • Sunday attendance is not required.  We encourage you to attend to enjoy your faith journey with our church community; however we understand that life comes with challenges and commitments.  Come when you can, and encourage others to join you.
How do I find out what events or classes are available?
  • There are multiple places to find info about upcoming events and classes.  You can click on the "calendar" or "life together" tab.  You can also visit our Facebook/Instagram sites or call the office.
Is there more information about American Baptist Churches, Church of the Brethren or ministry areas?
  • You can find more information about our church on the website or in the information guide.  You can get more information about the American Baptist at www.abc-usa.org and the Church of the Brethren at www.brethren.org
Do I have to pay to be a member?
  • There are never mandatory fees to be a member.  Most fellowship activities are free or a free-will donation. Some special events may have a registration fee or nominal cost to attend.
  • Each week there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings.  As a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give.  This is an act of worship for our regular attendees, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work he is doing in their lives.  It also gives us the means to reach more people for Christ in the future.
Who is in charge of the finances?
  • Each ministry area manages the budget for things that fall within that ministry.  The Admin team works on the budget each year based on requests from each ministry, and it is submitted for approval from the congregation.  There is an elected treasurer and financial secretary who oversees the balance throughout the year.
Is there Sunday School?
  • Currently we do not offer traditional Sunday School.
What about kids during worship?
  • There is child care available on Sunday mornings for young kids. We also have worship bags for kids who stay in worship with their families. Monthly we offer a children's message during the service.
Do I have to be a member of a group at church?
  • No.  We encourage involvement in ministry areas or volunteer activities for those who have the time or comfort to help; however, it is never mandatory to participate in ministry.
