Our Staff

We are proud of our staff and their dedication to our center and to the care of the children here at Caring Corner.  Caring Corner has retained a core team of employees. Several staff reported celebrating anniversaries with the program including 25 years, 24 years, 7 years, 6 years, 5 years, and 1 year. Staff longevity is impressive!  Caring Corner CDP supports and encourages staff to further their education by supporting TEACH and WAGES. One staff member has almost completed a BA degree through TEACH with 2 additional staff soon to start their professional growth journey with the help of TEACH.

Jill Pflughaupt
Ms. Jill has been at Caring Corner for over 25 years and we are grateful for her leadership, experience working with children.

In 2021 Ms. Jill was a recipient of the 2021 Chris Carman Friend of Children Award which honored her ability to go above and beyond in preparing preschool children for kindergarten since 2000.

Assistant Director
​LaTonya Chalmers
Ms. Tonya has been in the position since July 2011. She has an AA degree in interdisciplinary studies, experience working with children and continues to  participate in much child development related training.
