Leadership Retreat for 8th-12th Grade Students
May 31- June 1, 2025

Youth leadership is a cornerstone of vibrant Christian communities and faith groups. Cultivating young leaders is not just about preparing the next generation for the future; it’s about empowering them to make a difference today. Christian leadership among youth is essential for building strong, resilient communities that reflect the values and teachings of Christ. When young people are encouraged to take on leadership roles, they become more invested in their faith, and their influence can inspire peers to deepen their commitment as well.

We encourage you to invite your students to join us for a leadership retreat weekend “Lead Like Jesus” as we spend four sessions devoted to introducing students to Christian leadership and foster connections with like-minded changemakers at First Baptist Church in Boone, IA May 31-June 1st.

This event is for students in grades 8-12. Cost is $30, which includes snacks, lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday breakfast. Our plan for lodging will be to stay at the church. This is subject to change depending on how many students register. Participants will be sent a list of things to bring upon receipt of registration. 

Please register by May 15th.

RYE 2025! 
November 7-9, 2025

We will explore different games and how we can learn Biblical principles and lessons from them. Join us for a fun weekend of laugher, friendly competitiveness, uplifting messages, worship and prayer!

RYE 2025 will be held November 7-9, 2025, at the Church on Northland (First Baptist Church-Church of the Brethren), 5200 Northland Ave NE.  The cost for attending is $60/participant.  There is early bird pricing for registrations received before October 20th.  For those registering before October 20, the cost is only $55/participant!  This fee includes your T-shirt (indicate your shirt size on the registration form), programming, Friday night food, a meal on Saturday, and admittance to our off site activity.
 
Registrations and fees need to be received by October 20, 2025 in order to ensure a t-shirt.
