Two time periods of sessions will be offered. Each session will last about 45 min. These are some of the sessions that will be offered:
· Bible Basics 101
What is the Bible? What is it good for? How do you use it? These may be some questions you have. This session is aimed to answer these questions and more that you may have.
· Love Language
What is your love language? God created each of us in such unique ways, and desires us to reach our full potential. Knowing more about yourself and others will help to navigate the differences we face in our diverse culture and extend grace and respect to others.
· Bible 102
Lectio Divina? Do you know what this is? This session is for those wanting a deeper way to read and study their Bible. Read for formation not just information.
· Rock Mandala Painting
Mandala is a word meaning circle. We will be looking at how Mandalas are used in the Christian faith, their roots and then creating a mandala based on a passage of scripture.
· Color Creations
God could have created for us a gray, drab, colorless world. But color in and of itself reveals some things about Him. In this workshop we will discuss color theory as it applies to Christianity and create a beautiful piece of art.
· The Christian Athlete
An interactive discussion on faith and being competitive.
· Worship Workshop
This workshop will not only visit who we are as creatives, but who we are in God and how we are to use those gifts he's given us. Temple Veil will share their story and talk about being worship artists and songwriters.
· What it takes to be a missionary
This is your chance to talk with actual missionaries serving in different corners of the world to hear about what it takes and real life processes to become a global servant.
· Spaghetti Towers
Are you interested in engineering? Enjoy problem solving? This interactive workshop has an engineering focus, will relate to a parable of Jesus and will touch on faith in a diverse work environment.
· Let’s DTR (Define the Relationship)
How do you act when you’re #InYourFeelings? Are your friendships #toxic? What do your friends say about you? This workshop is for middle school students, join us to #DTR!
· Who are you following?
How do you use your “story” for good on social media? Are you Finsta or Insta? What do your likes, follows and snaps say about you? This workshop is for high school students; join us as we talk about the cost of a click.
· iParenting (also youth leaders)
If you feel crazy, you’re doing it right. This workshop for adult leaders will touch on brain development of adolescents, sexting, vaping, social media, screen time, acronyms, and more issues facing preteens and teens in today's electronic and social society.
