We encourage all to GIVE with a GRATEFUL AND JOYOUS HEART to God.  Whether financially or giving of time, resources, personal talents/gifts, giving is an act of worship in which we demonstrate that God is first in our lives. ​

Giving Financially

Give

We have partnered with Tithe.ly for online giving.  They provide a safe, secure and easy way to give using your computer, tablet or smartphone. ​

Thank you for your generous contribution in support of the ministries of the First Baptist Church-Church of the Brethren.  Giving financially enables the church’s ministries and missions to be performed.  
Recommended ways to give:

1. Give online – Click on the GREEN Give button 
   OR Use the Tithe.ly mobile giving app. Details are provided here.
2. OR Set up scheduled giving to the General Fund by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) from your bank. Most banks offer some form of bill pay.
3. Give during worship – This is the most common method used today by members. You place your check or cash into an envelope (preferably one that has your assigned giving number) and place it into the offering box before or after worship.
4. Give by mail – If you are on vacation or away for some other reason, your regular giving can be sent to the church office by mail. The address is The Church on Northland, 5200 Northland Ave NE Cedar Rapids, IA 52402

Technical Support

Technically Savvy?  We want you!  Help is needed in the sound room on Sundays to do sound, slides and the behind the scenes part of worship.  There are also times throughout the year where techies are in demand.

First Impressions

First impressions are important at the Church on Northland; we want to make our visitors feel welcome!   Greeters and ushers have the job of welcoming folks.

Consider being a valet and park the car of a guest or those with trouble getting around.

Special Events

There are a few special events throughout the year that are geared towards community outreach.  Our annual Easter Eggstravaganza, Vacation Bible School and Trunk or Treat need lots of volunteers to make them run smoothly.  Check the church calendar for more info on when these events happen.

Children's Ministry

Help us introduce children of all ages to God’s love.  Many Serve positions are available such as children's church leaders, Vacation Bible School Volunteers, Nursery helpers.  Lots of volunteers are needed during Upward Basketball Season (January-March)

Music Ministry

Whether you want to join the choir or use your unique musical giftedness in worship, there are many opportunities to Serve in the Music Ministry. 

Maintenance 

Help us prepare our church grounds for ministry by using your gifts for general maintenance, exterior maintenance and landscaping. We’re also can use folks for set-up/tear-down and general cleaning of special events. Start serving today!
