Our Beliefs
Affirmation of Faith
The Church On Northland (First Baptist Church - Church of the Brethren) is founded upon the faith that there is but one God who is a personal God, who in love creates, sustains, orders, and finishes all things.
We confess Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world and Lord of the Church; fully God and fully human.
We believe that the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer, and is at work creating and sustaining the Church--the Body of Christ--in guidance, comfort, and unity of all believers.
We maintain the authority and unity of the scriptures; see the New Testament as our only creed and rule of faith; and recognize the Bible as the divine record of God's search for mankind which is climaxed in His redemptive work in and through Jesus Christ.
We hold that we, as the Body of Christ, consider all true believers to be responsible for the common ministry of the congregation.
