Twos / ThreesOur Two/Threes preschool classrooms are designed to provide your 2 - 3 year old child with many choices throughout the day, balancing daily schedules to allow for small group time, child-directed and teacher-directed activities. While children are encouraged to participate in group activities, they are given the flexibility to learn at their own pace and in ways that are best for them.
Children have the flexibility for choices, with learning centers such as dramatic play, manipulatives, large motor/blocks, art and a reading corner, clearly identified to help children transition with ease throughout their day. The daily routine will be consistent and predictable. Organized short periods for reading, music, language development activities, arts and crafts, manipulatives will be offered, but children at this age are merely encouraged to participate not required to participate. Open shelves will allow toddlers to be independent while selecting what interests them. Uniquely, a bathroom for supporting potty training efforts is located inside the twos/threes classroom. The potties are the perfect size for little beginners. Teachers will do all they can to support home efforts of potty training. |
